On tourists

Tourist season's not that busy now, but there are still the ocassional tourists who come to stay in the cabins. French and Norwegian tourists are clean clean clean man! They wash the dishes after they've used them and even take out the sheets for you and leave them folded neatly in a pile, which saves alot of trouble.

Americans... blah. the other day 4 americans came, the next morning we had to serve them breakfast. they didn't want any fish. fussy people. anyhow, after they leave i go to clean up. and they left all the dishes for me! and we are not talking about having put the dishes in the sink for me, they left coffee cups, half drunk glasses and spoons on the table for me to clear up. I remember last time Maribeth Erb who teaches Tourism says that people behave differently when they go on holidays coz it's something different from their normal routine, american tourists as though they own the world and everyone is supposed to fall to their feet and do everything. BLEH. well good thing was that they made the beds, but all tourists so far make their beds anyway, so they don't get any brownie points.

so it's still: Europeans 1 Americans 0

Ha ha, you have to give the Americans credit in the first place for "daring" to travel all the way out to Norway and far far away from their own country. They were probably stunned senseless by that exciting "new" experience and consequently unable to do anything else decent like pick up after themselves.
