On doing unnecessary things

See what the problem is???

The wall of yellow has a few strips of red. Problem is, it's not supposed to be red. They were later additions to the wall and the carpenter had put up red strips of wood instead of yellow. So eversince it's been a sore-eye to Unni, coz it just doesn't match.

After i had finished the big job of painting part of the cow house walls and the cabin Unni had been mentioning to me a few times that the strips needed to be painted over in yellow. I had secretly been hoping that she wouldn't really get me to do it, coz if there's one thing i don't like doing, it's unnecessary things. If it were my house, i'd just leave it. But then again, that's just me...

So who would notice that the colour of the wall isn't matching you may ask. Well behind the house is this...


A big empty field in which the cows roam in in summer. Oh well, maybe there is a house nearby too. But that family only comes up during the summer. So that doesn't count. *hmph*


After days of mentioning the paint job, Unni finally manages to find the can of paint from the basement. And so there i was up on the ladder painting the few strips of red. I wasn't the greatest fan of going to paint em yellow coz i thought i wasn't thaaaatttt necessary. And besides i had to paint round the door as well. Which i really hate, coz i've got to be really careful that it doesn't get on the green. Blehhh...


I noticed initially that the yellow i had painted was a tad lighter than the actual yellow. But thought that perhaps it was the result of the paint standing in the basement for a year.

Well turns out i was WRONG! Unni later went by to see the paint job and realised that she had given me the wrong can of yellow paint. Who'd have known that there would be 2 shades of yellow paint sitting in her basement??!?!

And so the next day i go out again to get it right this time.


Apart from the cows who'd be roaming the fields again next year, probably no one is gonna be walking at the back of the house or hanging out in the fields. So when bcc came by that weekend, i had to drag her to go take a look at it.

Oh well at least Unni's happy with the wall now, and the cows better apperciate it too lohhh...
