Crème brûlée

I've had Crème brûlée at bcc's place twice. It's home made okayyyy...

For those interested, here's how, serves about 6 portions.

Step 1: Heat 300ml cream up in a pot.

Step 2: Add 1-2 teaspoons of sugar

Step 3: In another bowl, seperate your 6 egg yolks

Step 4: Get your vanilla pods out

Step 5: Add vanilla extract to the pot and stir occasionally. Till little bubbles appear, don't wanna have it boiling like crazy.

Step 6: When the sugar's dissolved, add the mixture to your eggs slowlyyyy and whisk so it doesn't cook the yolks and cause em to curdle.

Step 7: Pour the mixture into the ramekins

Step 9: Pop them into the pre-heated 150 deg oven and add hot water to form a bath for the ramekins

Step 10: Cover with foil loosely and wait for half hour

Step 11: Best to chill it overnight. Then take out and sprinkle sugar on the top

Step 12: Get your fabluous handheld burner and blast away! Till the sugar melts and it turns a pretty golden brown. Mind those fingers, coz the melted sugar's hot hot hot.

Step 13: Serve immediately and tuck in!

So rich! Cholesterol levels will hit the roof with egg yolks and double cream! Sounds lovely anyway. Hope you enjoyed the irresistible desserts. Bcc is a great cook. Mm should be so proud.
