Last time
After a whole long summer of work at the farm, Unni and Inge left for a much deserved vacation. The destination: hot and sunny Cyprus.
Saturday, I have my last meal at Unni's. Saturday is my favourite day of the week. Coz there's always grøt. Grøt is my favourite-est meal. It's a very thick rice porridge with lots of milk in it. And it's extra yummy, coz the milk comes straight from the cows on the farm. It's not only fresh, but is creamier too, not like those low fat, skim milk you get from the stores. It's typically eaten in Norwegian households on Saturday afternoons. Unni always says it's the best meal she likes to cook, coz it's the only meal which is so predicitable. So she doesn't need to fret over what to cook for Saturday dinners.
To eat grøt Norwegian style. Add a blob of butter in the middle, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon. Eat with smoked ham on flat bread onthe side. To eat it YS' style. Do all of that and add a generous coating of O'boy (similar to Milo) on top. So you get chocolate flavoured grøt.
Around noon on Sunday, Unni and Inge stop by Bcc's place to say goodbye before they leave for the airport. The last time i would be seeing them.
Inge was so stressed, he kept watching the clock and got up and went towards the door. So after a quick cup of tea, they were on their way to the airport 3.5 hours away. And their flight was at 8pm. I bet they would have gotten there even if they drove all the way at 60km/hr.
Hope they enjoy themselves!
